Use case: Ad spend leaks
Catch ads sending traffic to broken pages or sold-out products.
A product sells out while its ads keep running. A broken page or wrong redirect can waste traffic too. AdFence checks whole products linked in ads and alerts when customers cannot buy them.
Checks use connected ad accounts, subject to permissions and plan. No store or catalogue integration is needed for product availability. Checkout needs a connected, mapped source.

Example
Three checks point to one unavailable product.
Three active ads still point to an unavailable product. Destination and availability checks show the problem. A connected checkout source reports failed payments in this sample.

Scope of the review
NewThese 3 ads only
No blanket stop. The other 45 ads keep running; your team decides what to do with these three.
Destination and availability checks use connected ad accounts, subject to permissions and plan. Availability needs no store integration. The checkout row needs a connected, mapped source that reports checkout outcomes.
AdFence identifies the ads pointing to the affected destination. Your team decides what to change; availability alerts never pause or resume campaigns.
Coverage
What each check needs.
Destination and product availability checks use connected ad accounts, subject to permissions and plan. No store integration is needed for availability. Checkout signals require a connected, mapped source.
What each check needs
- 01
A connected ad account
Checks whether the page linked in a live ad loads, redirects, or changes.
- 02
Whole products linked in ads
Checks whether customers can buy the product, including whether any variants remain purchasable. No store integration is needed.
- 03
A supported checkout source, connected and mapped
Reports payment failures for a specific product.
Without a checkout source, checkout outcomes are not available. This does not prevent product availability checks. Checkout coverage varies by platform, integration, and plan.
What Meta, Google, and TikTok already catch
Platforms run destination checks and can flag or disapprove some problems. Gaps remain in timing, coverage, and mismatch.
- Timing: platform notices arrive on the platform's schedule, while the ads keep spending in between.
- Coverage: a check that only tests whether a page loads does not confirm that customers can buy.
- Mismatch: a working link can send customers to a different product or page.
Impact
What can stop a customer from buying?
Check the ads pointing to the affected product, page, or link. A problem at one destination need not affect the rest of the account.
Sold out or unavailable
The page loads, but customers cannot buy the product.
- The whole product is unavailable while its ads run
- None of the product’s variants can be purchased
- Not one sold-out size or color while others can be bought
Broken or redirected
The destination itself changed.
- Page returns an error or times out
- Redirect lands on a collection or home page
- Link points at the wrong product or an unfamiliar domain
Cannot pay
A connected checkout source reports payment problems.
- Checkout payment failures on one product
- Checkout unavailable for the country the ad targets
- Payment failures reported by a connected checkout source
Review and response
What AdFence shows and what you decide.
Review the ads pointing to the affected destination. Product availability is alert only; your team decides whether to pause, edit, or leave those ads running.
What AdFence shows
- Which live ads point at the affected destination
- What the destination check found, and when it changed
- Product availability, plus checkout signals where a connected source reports them
- Recorded spend against the affected ads since the finding
What stays with your team
- Whether to pause, edit, or leave the affected ads
- Restocking, fixing the page, or changing the destination
- Whether any other ads need attention
- Making or explicitly requesting any ad changes; product availability never changes campaigns on its own
How AdFence behaves
- Product availability checks start after connection. Other supported checks start after connection and run every 15 minutes.
- Read-only by default. Monitoring never edits an ad account on its own.
- Coverage varies by platform, permissions, integrations, configuration, and plan.
- Product availability is alert only. Other automatic actions run only when they are explicitly configured and pre-approved.
- No guarantee of prevention, recovery, refund, or reinstatement.
Keep the record
See spend since the problem was detected.
AdFence records what each check found, when it found it, and the affected ads’ spend. Your team can use that timeline in spend reviews.
How to use the record
- Client reporting
- Spend reviews
- Merchandising handoffs
- Internal reviews
The record starts after the ad account and any required source were connected. It shows checks and related spend. It does not measure lost sales and does not guarantee a refund from any platform.

Questions, answered
What teams ask before connecting.
Does AdFence know when a product sells out?
Yes. AdFence checks whole products linked in ads, including when none of their variants can be purchased. No store or catalogue integration is needed. It checks the product itself, not individual sold-out variants while others can be bought.
Do Meta, Google, and TikTok already flag broken destinations?
Partly. Platforms can flag or disapprove some destination problems. But a page can load even when its product cannot be purchased. AdFence adds product availability alerts; it does not replace the platform’s checks.
Should every campaign be paused when a leak is found?
Usually not. Review the ads pointing to the affected destination first. AdFence does not stop the rest of the account.
Will AdFence pause the affected ads for us?
Not automatically. Product availability is alert only: it never pauses or resumes campaigns. Your team decides what to change. Checkout findings also do not trigger campaign changes on their own.
Can AdFence tell us how much revenue we lost?
No. It records where paid traffic went, what the checks found, and the spend recorded against the affected ads. Lost sales depend on data AdFence does not hold.
